Cheats, Walkthrough and Strategy Guide Tips in CSR Racing

CSR Racing is a free-to-play drag-racing game by Boss Alien and NaturalMotion Games. In the game, the player takes the role of a new racer looking to make a name for him/herself in a deserted city ruled by five racing 'crews'.

The game, at its best, offers an enjoyable car racing gaming experience and almost everything concerning the basic gameplay is familiar. It is the only goal to beat competitors in races, through which players earn game currency, purchase different, if not advanced, cars, and upgrade the parts to hold a competitive edge over opponents. With the cheats and tricks, you can easily outrun your opponents.

Practice Your Timing First

What separates CSR Racing apart from many other games of this genre is its simple yet challenging controls in races. Mostly, players tap or hold one of two buttons on the right of the interface to start the car or shift gear. That seems way too simple but it requires perfect timing for tapping. One ill-timed tap, more often than not, leaves you smoked by the rival car. Therefore, you have to train your fingers for the job or you will get stuck in some race, crew leader race possibly, and cannot progress any more.

Use Your Money Wisely

Cars in CSR Racing are divided into different brands, models and tiers. They possess different features and can be useful under different circumstances. These cars are bound after purchases and cannot be sold for cash or gold. The parts on these cars can be upgraded and cannot be transferred onto other vehicles. No upgrade can transform a tier-2 car into a tier-3 one – the tier in which a car is set is fixed throughout the game.
Fun always lies in the collection of as many cars as possible when it comes to a car-themed game, but it is not a wise choice to spend all your money on collecting, especially in early experience. It is advisable to purchase two cars in each tier and have one maxed out so as to beat all the crew and leaders.
The game occasionally offers 50% discounts for a random car and it would be better to purchase on such occasions to keep your expenses as small as possible.

Upgrade Only When You Have To

How a player performs in a race always depends on the start, gear shift, NOS acceleration, car component upgrades. But you’d better not upgrade the parts to the maximum levels unless you have to.
In some race modes, players have to use the cars that meet all the specific requirements. For example, in Restriction races, the car must weigh at least the set minimum weight or exceed the set minimum horsepower. When a vehicle is maxed out, the only way to increase the weight is to degrade parts. Players can also buy a new car and upgrade it to meet the requirements. But that is both money- and time-consuming.
Some upgrades are mixed blessings. Upgrading the car body reduces its weight, but it sometimes leaves the car unqualified for some races. Upgrading tires can stop players from achieving the wheel spin, which is one of the achievements players can make in the game.

How to Get Free Gold

Gold, the premium currency in CSR Racing, can be used for purchasing instant fuel refills and some cars and upgrades and for hiring the mechanic to keep the racing cars in good condition. Players are rewarded with gold every time they level up. By connecting your CSR account to your Facebook account, you can get 3 free gold and if you post on your Facebook walls upon upgrade, you can get 5 gold each time.

Don’t Mess Up with the Time Settings in a Hope to Obtain Endless Fuel, Gold, or Cash

Every race you participate consumes a unit of your fuel. Like the energy used in social games, the fuel refills over time and players can have instant refills if they pay gold, or the premium currency. As is always the case in car racing titles, players die for endless game money so as to purchase the desirable cars and upgrades. And in this case, it is also natural to crave for unlimited fuel to keep racing all the time. But players still have take part in races to earn cash and wait for the fuel refills.
Some players modify the device time settings by setting the time forward for days, months or even years and alleged that they’d obtained huge amounts of gold and cash as well as fuel refills. But that glitch has long been fixed and players get punished rather than benefit from such acts. Many find their fuel stop to refill and wouldn’t be able to race any more. When I set the time a month forward, the game did reward me with a gold for “coming back” but it was soon gone without explaining the reason. I guess I got caught.
