Vector will thrill you up!

Vector free is an exciting, arcade-style game featuring you as the exceptional free runner. The game opens with a view into a totalitarian world where freedom and individually is nothing more than a distant dream. But the heart of a freerunner is strong, and you soon break free. Run, vault, slide and climb using extraordinary techniques based on the urban ninja sport of Parkour all while being chased by “Big Brother” who’s sole purpose is to capture you and bring you back. (Some days we all wish we could break free and run from the daily grind or stuck in a cubicle working 9 t0 5)
A very classy and high polished opening scene brings you to the action as you flee the system. Jumping from rooftops and under obstacles you make your escape. Collecting coins and stars along the way so you can unlock tricks to pass that level.  Levels are tricky and it’ll take a few tries to complete.
Played and enjoyed on 9game. Everything ran very smooth and is responsive in timing when making jumps or whatever trick is needed to proceed. Menus load fast and a countdown after pausing, mid-game, is another nice touch to get yourself ready once more. Graphics are absolutely spot on. You are a black shadow on the run with light blues, grays and white in the background to add a stark contrast and looks very sleek. (I’ll not mention polished again) Top notch performance and silken looks, make this a great game. Possibly game of the year, so far.    For me anyway.
Tough levels and needed credits to proceed, will make you pick this up again and again. One missed timed jump, or bad landing and your chaser will catch you. It’s back to the start of the level and away you go once again. Credits and stars may also be needed to purchase that trick. If you don’t have enough you’ll have to keep restarting to earn more. That’s what I’ve been doing because I’m not going to pay any In-App-Purchases.
It’s close to spoiling my love for this title, if I’m being very honest. At the start of the game it seems to be a tough grind to earn all the valuable credits you’ll need. It’s very tempting to spend a few quid on some just to give you a boost. If Vector lite version was released with maybe the first 2 levels to show what it’s about and how good it is, I’d have no problem buying the full version for £2 or £3. There also seems to be an unlock version (in game) that gets rid of the ads. This just adds to the confusion further, for me.
Maybe I’m being over critical of the in-app-purchases and the current trend but put a game out for a few quid, support it, update it, if it needs tweaks or improved and people will buy it if it’s good and trust the development team on their next release. Maybe this subject is worth another post in the near future?
As always we have provided a link for you to download and enjoy below. If you can see past the need to spend real money and grind through like I’m trying to do.
