Welcome to the Asphalt 8: Airborne Review!

It’s another year, another summer, and just like a summer blockbuster movie, it’s time for another entry in Gameloft’s venerable racing series, Asphalt. It’s easy to get cynical as this would be the eighth game in the series, and after part seven I was starting to think that this franchise was getting a little too long in the tooth. Thankfully Gameloft seems to have realized that as well and has added enough new and fun elements to justify keeping the series going.
So if you’ve ever played an Asphalt game then you have a pretty good idea as to what you’re going to be getting, at least initially. You race fast, exotic cars around fast tracks in energetic, colorful and beautiful cities around the world. That part hasn’t changed. And if that was all part eight had to offer then there honestly wouldn’t be a reason to recommend it. But Gameloft has added some new mechanics and modes that actually make the game a heck of a lot of fun to play.

The first and most obvious upgrade would be, as the subtitle suggests, your ability to do some crazy, ridiculous and fairly reckless leaps through the stratosphere. Every level has ramps littered around the raceway that will launch you into the air to do things that would make Fast and Furious directors jealous: Barrel rolls, corkscrews, aerial spin-outs, and occasional moments that have you flopping all over the clouds like a fish out of water. Asphalt 8 will have you reaching heights you have yet to see in a racer for iOS. You’ll jump over bridges, through different levels of unfinished highways, over small mountains, and just generally do things that will have you wondering just how on Earth you’re actually living through any of this. The death-defying antics alone make this game the most fun I’ve had with a racer since Sonic & Sega All-Stars.
There’s so much content and different kinds of races here that you’ll rarely be bored. There are regular races, elimination matches, knockdown races, and two new modes called Drift and Infected. Drift mode is fun, but I was absolutely terrible at it. Infected is an incredible blast. In Infected mode one car is “infected” with a virus that apparently affects cars, and it’s your job to drive your ghostly, green glowing car to try and infect as many other cars as possible. It’s tough to master, but a lot of fun to play.

The exciting and fantastical elements to Asphalt 8 are really what set it apart and make it so much fun to play and are the reasons that I kept coming back trying to beat my previous scores.
Asphalt 8 is also the best looking game in the series and finally has a somewhat decent damage system and much improved collision detection. It also has one of the best soundtracks in a videogame this side of a Grand Theft Auto game. It’s so good that I actually ran the game through AirPlay on my computer so I could blast it through my Bose speakers. Thankfully my neighbors weren’t home.
Just when I was starting to lose faith in the Asphalt series (I wholeheartedly agree with our review of part seven), Gameloft went and gave me a reason to believe again. If you’re a arcade racing fan then there’s absolutely no reason for you to not be playing this. The in-app purchases are only annoying if you’re impatient, and every aspect in the game (even the redundant ones) are a step up. This is one you’ll be playing again and again for at least another year.

According to AppAdvice: First up, Gameloft has added a highly requested featured – car decals – so gamers can further customize their vehicles… The updated app, version 1.8.0, also brings a redesigned garage and a new car collection.

Real Cricket 14 is not an insect game. Just thought it better to make that clear in the start itself unless you are thinking to it be one more of the simulation games like Goat Simulator. 

Real Cricket 14 is a cricket sports game made by an Indian company, Nautilus Mobile. They are an independent mobile game studio who started back in March 2013 with their first title - Song of Swords which went on to win the Nasscom's People's Choice Indie Game of the Year award. 

With Real Cricket 14 they bring a cricket game for mobile platform which earlier could only be found for consoles or PCs like Don Bradman 2014. It has beautiful portrait like 2D graphics, a good number of controls for both batting and bowling, joystick based controls (which are much better than the usual swipe controls) and much more. Real Cricket is available for both Android and iOS users.

This game requires high level Android phones with 1GB RAM, > 1GHz Processor & Android OS 4 and above. The game size is just 47MB. As I mentioned before, the graphics are portrait like and look very beautiful in each frame. The truth is, the graphics are actually hand made. The game is so "Real" that you even have a toss in the beginning of the game. You chose 'heads' or 'tails' and depending on the results you get to decide if you want to bat first or bowl first.

 
 
This difference in bowling will affect your or the AI's batting style. No longer you can see the swing meter and guess the shot with 100% accuracy. If your bat and pads have space between them then the ball can easily slip in between them. You can even take down spin balls by going out of your crease and take the shot full on with the risk of getting stumped by the wicket keeper. Real Cricket 14 is probably the only game for mobile and tablets that has so much dynamism in their gaming mechanics.

Real Cricket 14 is not a short burst game of a few overs though it can be played like that if you prefer so. But, if you like playing long games with 20 or 50 overs then that too can be played on Real Cricket 14. When you play on mobile or tablet you are not exactly looking for a long stretched game. Your battery consumption takes a heavy toll with this game and if you don't have a charging socket handy, you definitely won't want to take on an innings in the game. The developers thought about this problem well and have programmed the game to auto save your progress at the end of each over. This way you can spend whatever time you want to play and when can't continue any longer you can just close the app and continue later whenever you want to.

You can select the number of players you want in the game, the overs and the information you need. A thin bar at the bottom of the game also displays useful information during the game like your present run rate, number of overs finished as well as the the number of balls remaining in the over.
 
Real Cricket 14 is a Freemium game which means that it has advertisements and in app purchases. You can remove the ads by making a one time payment of Rs.50. For the same amount you can unlock more features of this game like T20 World Cup, Knockout Trophy, Master Teams or Super Over. 

The biggest thing we find missing in the game is multiplayer mode. It is hard to imagine a game like this with multiplayer mode. I mean, one can imagine the fun it would be to enjoy this game with a pal or two. However, if you love the game of cricket and prefer or are not just looking the multiplayer cricket fun then this game is definitely for you. 

Wrap up

The gameplay of Real Cricket 14 is very real. There are over 27 shots in your arsenal while batting and the bowling itself is just not the usual 'click on the spot for first touchdown'. The ball swing mechanics that the developers from Nautilus have included in this game have really took bowling in a mobile game to the next level. For instance, if you want to do a proper spin ball then you need to bowl slower and generate maximum flight. If you throw a pace ball then there won't be much spin on it. 

Real Cricket 14 is an amazing game with beautiful 2D graphics and great audio suiting to a cricket match. We encountered no bugs while playing the game and it ran smoothly without any lag. If you love cricket I would definitely suggest you to give this game a try. I am sure you would not be disappointed except for the absence of multiplayer mode.

The goal is to be one of the fastest drivers on the global leaderboards. We're going to a few tips and strategies to get you to the top of the leaderboards.

How do I play Traffic Racer?

Tap and hold down the right acceleration icon to increase the speed of your vehicle. Tap and hold the brake icon to slow down. Tilt the mobile device left or right to avoid oncoming cars. Near misses and top speed acceleration gives you bonus points. The longer you play without crashing into vehicles will increase your score and your cash.

What are the different game modes in Traffic Racer?

There are four different game modes in Traffic Racer. Endless One-way, Endless Two-way, Time Trial and Free Ride. Each mode offers a different style of gameplay. Endless One-way has you driving along with traffic. Endless Two-way has the board split in two with the left side has oncoming traffic and the right side you drive with traffic. The longer you go in the wrong way, the more cash you will earn. In this mode the risk is worth the reward so consider playing this Two-way if you're looking to make some cash for upgrades and to purchase new cars. Time Trial gives you 99 secs to try to make the highest score. Crashing doesn't end the game in this mode. The further you make it before the clock expires the more cash you'll earn. Free Ride is the One-Way game mode without any consequences, drive until your hearts content. Crash into as many cars as you like, the game keeps going.

How do I get more cash in Traffic Racer?

In Traffic Racer, you earn cash by avoiding a collision, getting near misses at over 100 kmh in either oncoming traffic or driving one way. The longer you keep your speed over 100 kmh, the higher your cash bonus will be. Combining theses conditions will enable you to earn a lot of points and cash in the process. You can also chain near misses together to earn up to 700 points per a near miss.

How do I upgrade my vehicle in Traffic Racer?

Traffic Racer features an upgrade system which allows you to improve your cars by spending cash obtained during the game. Purchasing the speed upgrade is one of the best upgrades, since it will help you get points faster for distance covered which will earn you more cash. Handling is also useful for better control of your vehicle but not a necessity. Brakes help you slow dow to avoid cars. Not the most useful upgrade, as they're fairly good even at the base level.

Tips and strategies to remember when playing Traffic Racer

Driving over 100 kmh will increase your score. When driving over 100 kmh, overtake cars closely to get score bonuses and cash. Driving in opposite direction in Two-way mode gives extra score and cash. Lastly touching the guard rail with your vehicle will slow you down drastically. If you need to slow down quickly use the guard rails to your advantage.

Do I need to pay for anything in Traffic Racer?

Traffic Racer is free to play but you can purchase in game currency for additional cash to help you obtain new vehicles or purchase upgrades.

Once you've utilized these strategies, you're well on your way to some great runs and you'll see your score increase with every try.

The Amazing Spider-Man costume guide part1

The Amazing Spider-Man is one of my favourite game. Spider-Man is pretty amazing. He swings around the city saving countless citizens from monsters, robots and the frequent purse snatcher. An important part of what makes him so amazing, are his costumes, of course. Whether it’s his classic red and blues, the dark symbiote or a suit from another dimension, Spider-Man always looks good while fighting crime.

 In this guide I will show you how to make your virtual Spider-Man look just the way you want him to, by showing you the locations of all available costumes in the game. Some require you to hunt them down, others will simply show up along the way. Let’s swing on over to the next page and get started!

 

Note: There are various time locked items in the game when this article published. The Party Hat along with five costumes can only be accessed by manipulating your time and date settings. In order to do this, make sure you are disconnected from the Internet. Go into the system settings for the console of your choice and alter the time and date to December of 2012 or any date after. Make sure you remain offline and load up the game. Now when playing you will be able to unlock the Party Hat, along with the five other costumes. After unlocking any of these, you can then go online again and you will not lose access to them. But if you are playing after December 2012, you don't have to worry about the time lock.

Default Suit

This one is pretty straight forward. The only reason I mention it, is that it has two variations that you might not notice right away. There is the belted version, which has a small utility belt or there’s the suit minus the belt. It is a small difference but one worth noting.

Party Hat 

Not so much a suit as it is an accessory, this one is a little tricky. It is a timed unlock item that will not be available until after Spider-Man’s 50th birthday in August. However, if you are playing this before August and don’t wish to wait, you can gain access early. Refer to the note on page one and change your consoles time settings to August 31, 2012. After doing so, simply go to your in-game apartment and you will find the Party Hat.

Cross Species Suit

Less suit, more mutation, this one is unlocked by beating the game. Any difficulty will do it and upon loading back into the apartment you’ll find it waiting in your closet.

Black Suit

This suit is unlocked by completing 100 percent of the game. That means all photos, all side missions, all collectibles must be done. After doing so this will unlock for you back in the apartment. This suit is the more classic comic version of the symbiote suit.

Classic Black Suit

The symbol to unlock this costume is found within the small park along the bottom left of the map. Enter the gazebo and look up to see it waiting there. Take a picture and you will unlock this outfit back in the apartment. Although labeled as the classic, this suit is more reminiscent of the Spider-Man 3 suit, not that of the comics. Note that you can only access this by changing your time setting as mentioned on page one. Also you will need to have progressed beyond chapter 3 in the main game to unlock the camera.

The Unofficial Oscorp Tour: Five Minutes Before the Incident

The game begins with Gwen Stacy (1)giving her flirtatious classmate, Peter Parker, an exclusive, unscheduled after-hours tour of the Oscorp research facility. She is well aware that Peter is actually Spider-Man. Peter revealed his secret identity to his close friend soon after the Lizard took her father’s life months ago. While following Gwen through the facility you can use the Right Analog Stick to move the camera around and see what’s going on inside the labs on either side of the hallway.

Gwen is looking for proof that the new director of Oscorp, Alistaire Smythe, is continuing the former director’s cross-species experiments even after the lab accident that turned Connors into the Lizard. At the end of the tour (2), Gwen and Peter discover the proof they were looking for as they see a giant cross-species being ushered through the high security passages.

After the unusually calm Dr. Smythe catches you and Gwen in the facilities after-hours he dismisses the creature as one of the many cross-species that he is trying to dispose of and then guides you into the main lab. He assures Peter and Gwen that as of tonight the remaining cross-species are being shipped out for safe disposal. As you work your way down to the lower level, Gwen and Peter notice the caged creatures reacting to Peter’s genetic makeup.

Peter is pushed out of the lab for his safety, as the creatures break free from captivity. The human-rat mutation from the large central cage breaks free, bites Gwen, and leaps to a high platform. It’s time to play.
